Buena Park, CA -- Knott's Berry Farm is planning to spend $11 million to renovate the Buena Park Hotel. The hotel and convention center located on the southern end of amusement park property, was recently acquired by Knott's parent company Cedar Fair LP.
The renovation calls for a complete remodel of every room. Knott's also plans to build a new pool and make general improvements to the property.
In addition, the hotel will be renamed under the Radisson Hotel brand. The name change comes as part of a marketing agreement Cedar Fair has with Radisson Resorts.
Knott's management hopes that the renovated hotel and name change will attract tourists, as they try to position the park as a destination resort for Southern California.
Park officials hope to have the renovation and name change completed by the early part of next year.
