First Phase Of Expansion Nears Completion At Wild Adventures

Valdosta, GA - Wild Adventures theme park located in Valdosta, Georgia is nearing completion of the first phase of a five-year $50 million expansion, intended to make the park more competitive with other theme parks and attractions.

The first phase of the five-year expansion plan includes $17-million in new rides and attractions for the park. The expansion, which includes 16 new rides and attractions, is expected to be finished prior to the busy summer season.

Highlights of this year's expansion include the Hangman, a Vekoma suspended looping roller coaster. In addition to the roller coaster the park is also adding a double shot freefall thrill ride.

Future phases of the expansion plan include a major new water park and several new themed areas inside the park. The additional themed areas planned are the Asian Adventure, South America and African Safari.
