AstroWorld to Host 12th Annual Senior High Physics Day

Houston, TX -- High school students from across Houston and surrounding areas will study the "phenomena of fun" in Six Flags AstroWorld's "outdoor classroom" Friday, April 20 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. for Senior High Physics Day. Scientific theories learned in the classroom will come to life as students solve a variety of physics-related problems on the park's thrilling rides including Serial Thriller, Dungeon Drop, Texas Cyclone, Viper, Tidal Wave, Greezed Lightnin' and Barnstormer.

Students will enjoy a performance by "Mad Science," a hands-on stage show, and wacky mad scientists roaming the park will demonstrate scientific principles in a fun and exciting way. Students will receive a free Physics Workbook, developed in conjunction with the Houston Area Physics Teachers Association, filled with experiments based on AstroWorld's electrifying rides and demonstrating principles such as the Laws of Motion, acceleration and G-force.
