New Spine-Tingling Attractions at Canada's Wonderland

Vaughan, Ontario -- Paramount Canada's Wonderland celebrates 20 years of excitement with six new attractions, including an exhilarating new thrill ride and a captivating new children's attraction.

Wonderland's 20th anniversary season begins on May 7th with the launch of Cliffhanger - a new thrill adventure ride - plus Scooby-Doo's Haunted Mansion and two new riveting simulations premiering in the Action F/X Theatre with Meteor Attack in the spring/summer and Superstition in the fall. Then, from July 2nd through to Labour Day, get set for The Eruption; the excitement will come to a peak as Wonder Mountain explodes in a nightly extravaganza! Plus, enjoy International Showplace's Summer Spectacular with entertainment for the whole family.

Cliffhanger is Wonderland's new super swing with attitude and altitude! Cliffhanger will take passengers through snap rollovers and unyielding 360-degree twists and turns as they are propelled through moments of zero gravity and an inescapable wall of water. Cliffhanger is the ultimate experience for thrill seekers who think they have done it all.

In Hanna Barbera Land, kids can meet up with Scooby-Doo and the rest of "Mystery Inc" at Scooby-Doo's Haunted Mansion, an interactive dark ride. Guests can chase ghosts, collect Scooby Snacks and unravel a bewitching case of ghostly deeds and hair-raising suspense!

At the Action F/X Theatre there will be nonstop thrills with Meteor Attack and Superstition. Meteor Attack will take passengers on the flight of their lives, as they become the last line of defense against a full-scale alien invasion. Passengers are transformed into unsuspecting pilot trainees of the 23rd century, who will take it to the limit to save Rocketstation - Outpost 769!

The Eruption is a mountain of excitement, celebrating the Park's 20th anniversary with a blast! Wonder Mountain, considered dormant for 20 years, has been slowly building into a fiery rage of volcanic activity. Nightly, guests will feel and see Canada's only active volcano build into a magnificent explosion of fire, smoke, ash and lava.

After Labour Day weekend, Superstition's "Mistress of the Dark" Elvira will guide unwary passengers on a wild trip through haunted houses, dungeons, tropical jungles, trap doors and more. Meteor Attack and Superstition are the latest in iWERKS TurboRide experiences in the Action F/X Theatre, a 15,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art, twin motion simulator theatre.
