Busch Gardens Williamsburg Introduces New Adventure

Williamsburg, VA -- Busch Gardens Williamsburg introduced guests to a touch of wildlife, Saturday, March 25, as the park opened for its 26th season. In addition to more than 40 award-winning rides, shows and attractions, Busch Gardens Williamsburg will unveil Jack Hanna's Wild Reserve, a new animal education area.

"This season we want our guests to share in our excitement and commitment towards animal preservation and education," said Dan Brown, executive vice president and general manager of Busch Gardens Williamsburg.

Majestic gray wolves will wander amid the ruins of a 17th-century castle as their compelling story unfolds through educational presentations at Jack Hanna's Wild Reserve. "A tremendous educational environment will serve as a living classroom, allowing guests to learn of a wolf's fierce loyalty to its pack, observe its unique behavioral patterns, and most important, understand the need to protect this endangered species," said Brown.

In addition to the gray wolf, colorful lorikeets will create an engaging up-close learning environment for guests in the park's new interactive aviary.

Guests become human perches as they observe, interact and feed this brilliant species in the presence of Busch Gardens Williamsburg's award-winning landscaping.

Education and adventure continue in the Land of the Dragons, where the cast of the popular children's television show, "The All New Captain Kangaroo," comes to life. Debuting at the Dragon's Tale Theater, "Captain Kangaroo's Roo Crew Live" teaches children important life lessons such as sharing, caring and taking responsibility through the antics Mr. Greenjeans, Bunny Rabbit, Grandfather Clock and the rest of the "Roo Crew."

Busch Gardens Williamsburg will open weekends beginning March 25 with an extended daily schedule April 17-29 for spring break vacationers. Busch Gardens Williamsburg is open daily beginning May 15.
