New Space Surfer Ride Malfunctions During Test

Doswell, VA -- The fire department was called to Paramount's Kings Dominion last Wednesday to rescue four employees who were stranded 75-feet in the air after the new Space Surfer ride malfunctioned during a test. The park had planned to open the new attraction on opening day, Saturday, April 1.

But due to the problem officials have decided to delay the opening and are unsure as to when the ride will debut.

The park is planning to conduct an investigation with the ride manufactuer to determine a cause for the problem.

According to reports it firefighters took about 45 minutes to rescue the stranded workers. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident.
