Las Vegas, NV -- Beginning this Spring, Las Vegas' Stratosphere Tower will have one more ride to thrill dare devils. The new ride named Insanity is slated to debut at the Stratosphere in March.
"Insanity is going to be the most intense thrill ride on Earth. No question," said Stratosphere spokesperson.
This new spinning ride will take guests over the edge of the tower in five, two-passenger vehicles in a circle. Seated two abreast, up to ten passengers may ride Insanity at once.
Passengers will be secured with an over-the-shoulder restraint system. Once secure, Insanity will take flight by moving out over the edge of tower and then spin riders in a circle at speeds reaching 40 mph. Riders will experience about 3 G's while riding Insanity.
Interactive Rides the same builder who designed X-Scream is currently building the ride at their facility in Utah.
According to the Stratosphere, the new Insanity ride will be located in the last open spot atop the tower for a ride.
"We had room for one more ride and we selected Insanity because we want the ride to scare them to death."
Next month Insanity will be transported to Las Vegas and then flown in parts to the top of the 1,149-foot tall tower via helicopter.
Stratosphere Tower is the tallest freestanding observation tower in the United States and the tallest building west of the Mississippi River.
