Schenectady, NY -- A roller coaster marathon will be held at Six Flags Darien Lake on June 25 to benefit Habitat for Humanity in Schenectady and Genesee County. Six Flags will host the event on the Superman Ride of Steel roller coaster and twelve riders will be participating. The participants are collecting pledges for a donation based on the number of rides they complete. Two riders at a time will brave Superman's 205-foot drop and 72 mph speed. Each rider will ride for about two hours during the day and funds raised will be based on the total number of rides completed by the group. Proceeds will be split among the two Habitat for Humanity affiliates.
