Valleyfair Introducing New KidWorks Area in 2004

Shakopee, MN -- Valleyfair will introduce KidWorks, a new interactive experience for the entire family, for the 2004 season. $1.35 million is being spent on the face lift and two new attractions that replaces Berenstain Bear Country.

The Foam Ball Factory, a multi-level foam ball attraction and Rockin Tug, an award-winning family ride will be the newest attractions in this updated section.

"KidWorks is all about the family," states Larry MacKenzie, Valleyfair's vice-president and general manager. "Valleyfair is a family amusement park, and this area allows families of all ages to play together."

The Foam Ball Factory creates a cycle of fun with thousands of specially machined foam balls that are propelled, raised, thrown, dropped and moved by way of blasters and other unique devices around the attraction.

"The Foam Ball Factory is the most innovative addition to family entertainment in years. Its unique combination of action, interaction and satisfaction make it a powerful magnet for families," says MacKenzie.

Rockin Tug will be the newest ride featured in KidWorks. Riders will experience the unique combination of rocking and spinning while on board. Rockin Tug is manufactured by Zamperla Rides, Italy and was named the "Best New Kiddie Ride/Attraction" by the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions in 2002.
