Cedar Point Donates Money To Help Local Children

Sandusky, OH -- Cedar Point Amusement Park will donate $7,500, collected through its coin collection program, to area organizations that provide services to children. During the operating season, the park's employees collect and turn in any loose change found underneath the rides, along the midway and in the park's water fountain, all of which is then counted and donated to local organizations that benefit children.

The money will be donated to the Erie County Special Olympics, Erie County Victim Assistance Program, Court Appointed Special Advocate program (CASA), Child Assault Prevention Project (CAPS), Boys and Girls Club of Sandusky, Back to the Wild wildlife rehabilitation and nature education center, Sandusky Citizens Coalition, KinShip, PALS (Playing-Accepting-Learning-Socializing) and the Soft T-Ball for Special Needs League.
