Magic Mountain's X Voted Number One Steel Coaster

Valenica, CA -- Six Flags Magic Mountain continues to reign as the undisputed king of thrills with its unmatched collection of roller coasters including the multiple award-winning -- X -- the world's first 4th dimensional coaster. X marked the completion of a stunning capital expansion transforming the noted Los Angeles Thrill Park into the world's first-and-only Xtreme Park with more coasters than anywhere on the Planet!

In just one short year, the trophy case for X is quickly filling up.

After just one year of operation, thousands of coaster enthusiasts and thrill seekers from around the world have been making the journey to conquer the most talked about coaster of 2002! The accolades are starting to pile up at the Xtreme Park as X continues to exceed even the wildest expectations!

Here's what a few thrill seekers have had to say:

"No matter what preconceived ideas you may have about what this ride is like, from websites, photos, other riders or just watching it cycle -- it will not even come close to the ride experience itself!"
Jodi Malone, West Coast Rep, American Coaster Enthusiasts, Valencia, CA

"X is unlike any other coaster ever imagined. The sensations felt while navigating the twists, turns, flips, and drops have no words to describe them. Once again Arrow Dynamics has shown the industry that they are on the cutting edge of technology with new innovations."
Karl DeAngelo, Editor,

"There is nothing like hanging upside down going 76 mph plunging from 200 feet in the air!"
Kurt Knutsson, Syndicated columnist a.k.a. "Kurt the Cyber Guy," KTLA-TV, Los Angeles, CA

"Hands down the best rollercoaster I have ever been on. A truly daring well executed prototype."
Mark -

"I had really high expectations before riding this and let me just say ... IT EXCEEDED ALL OF THEM! This ride is so insane you can't describe it. After you ride it, you don't even know what happened or what you did."
Seph -

"How would I describe X? Revolutionary, innovative, unpredictable, and diabolical. It's the most fun I've had on a roller coaster in years."
Paul Ruben, North American Editor, Park World Magazine, Penfield, NY

"This is an AMAZING coaster. The best I have ever been on. The first drop going headfirst is just the greatest feeling and the flips are intense. Anybody who doesn't give this ride a 10 doesn't know rollercoasters. The most intense coaster bar none."
Mitch -

X is designed to break all the rules. For the first time ever, riders race in prototype vehicles that now spin independently 360-degrees forwards and backwards on a separate axis -- creating an unprecedented "don't know what to expect next" sensation.

Perched on the edge of massive 20-foot-wide 5-ton wing-shaped vehicles, the 2 1/2 minute thrill begins with a 200-foot climb facing the sky before flipping over headfirst, face down for a near vertical plummet to earth. Racing at 76 miles-per-hour, the rush continues as riders fly through a massive 200-foot tall sky dive and over the top of a giant 185-foot raven turn performing several acrobatic full 360-degree front and back "flips" while blazing the rails of the mind-boggling 3,600-foot twisting steel maze.

But wait ... there is always next year. Known worldwide as a thrill ride haven, Six Flags Magic Mountain continues its historic run at the record books this Spring with the addition of yet another Xtreme roller coaster -- Scream! -- Southern California's first floorless mega coaster! Scream! will mark the park's "sweet 16th" roller coaster ... shattering its own Guinness Book world record status as the theme park with the most coasters on the Planet!
