Gurnee, IL -- It may seem like a fire sale, but in reality it's Six Flags way of saying how about one more weekend of fun, but for half the money. Six Flags Great America announced that it will remain open for one additional weekend November 1 - 3 and cut the price for everything in half.
Parking, admission fees, food, games and merchandise will be dropped to half price for the final three days of the season. Hours of operation will be Friday 6 p.m. - 11 p.m. and Saturday/Sunday 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Park officials are stating that not all rides and attractions will be operational for the final weekend. The Fright Fest attractions are closed and some other attractions have also closed for the season.
Fortunately for thrill seekers most of the park's major roller coasters will be operating and crowds are not expected to be a problem.
