Phantom's Revenge To Offer Two Train Operation in 2002

West Mifflin, PA -- Kennywood is completing some modifications to the Phantom's Revenge roller coaster this off-season to allow for two train operation for the upcoming season. The addition of the second train will add needed capacity to the popular ride, significantly reduce wait times.

According to reports several trim brakes have been installed on the final stretch of track to slow the incoming train. The addition of the trim breaks will enable the park to operate the popular roller coaster with two trains. In addition to the two-train operation Kennywood is also completing an unfinished tunnel on the roller coaster.

Phantom's Revenge debuted at Kennywood in 2001 and was designed by Chance Morgan of La Selva Beach, California.
