September 25, 2020 – Improvements have been made to Searching the Where to Coast™ roller coaster and theme park database. Results may now include suggestions for certain types of searches based on U.S. states, plus roller coaster and theme park names. This upgrade will hopefully help you find what you're searching for faster.

August 20, 2007 - Discussion Forums - The message boards were upgraded with new Advanced Search features that allow you to search by any, all or phrase for keywords, author and date range. Also, page-by-page navigation was added to the Message Board Topic Index.

August 13, 2007 - The following park was added to the Roller Coaster Yellowpages database: Mirabilandia and the roller coasters located there: Explorer, Sierra Tonante, Pakal, Katun, Family Adventure and Leprotto Express.

August 12, 2007 - The following park was added to the Roller Coaster Yellowpages database: Bobbejaanland and the roller coasters located there: Dream Catcher, Revolution, Speedy Bob Side A, Speedy Bob Side B, Bob Express, Oki Doki and Typhoon.

August 1, 2007 - Expanded details about Six Flags Over Georgia and added Six Flags White Water Atlanta to the Theme Parks Locator.

July 21, 2007 - Added the ability to either quote or not quote the previous text when replying to messages in the Discussion Forums.

July 12, 2007 - These parks and roller coasters were added to the Roller Coaster Yellowpages database: Wild Water and Wheels, Pipeline Express at Wild Water and Wheels, Sauble Beach Amusements, and Pipeline Express at Sauble Beach Amusements.

July 11, 2007 - Information about Knott's Soak City San Diego and Knott's Soak City Orange County added to Theme Parks Locator.

November 28, 2006 - Shop for your holiday gifts in our revamped Souvenirs section and help support the site. The entire section has been updated with new products, larger product pictures, roll-over previews and all out-of-stock products have been removed.

November 7, 2006 - Enter to win a brand-new XBox game system and copy of Thrillville in the Ultimate Rollercoaster Thrillville Giveaway.

November 1, 2006 - Thrillville theme park game product preview section added to Ultimate Rollercoaster.

August 31, 2006 - Kentucky Rumbler is added to the Ride Reviews in the Roller Coasters section.

July 25, 2006 - Phantom's Revenge is added to the Ride Reviews in the Roller Coasters section.

June 14, 2006 - Texas Giant is added to the Ride Reviews in the Roller Coasters section. Also, Phantasialand and Fuji-Q Highland, plus their roller coasters were added to the Roller Coaster Yellowpages database.

May 2006 - Descriptions and a number of updates were added to many of the theme parks and roller coasters in the Roller Coaster Yellowpages database.

April 22, 2006 - Goliath is added to the 2006 Preview in the Theme Parks section.

April 6, 2006 - Check out the TV Show Guide to see a list and descriptions of most of the amusement park and roller coaster shows that have aired over the years.

March 9, 2006 - Patriot is added to the 2006 Preview in the Theme Parks section.

March 1, 2006 - Updates and additions to the Roller Coaster Yellowpages database include the addition of theme park and roller coasters for Disneyland Tokyo, DisneySea Tokyo, plus 2006 Roller Coasters: El Toro, Expedition Everest, Flying Turns, Goliath (La Ronde and Six Flags Over Georgia), Italian Job Turbo Coaster, Kentucky Rumbler, Meteor, Opa, Patriot, Starliner, and The Voyage. Plus the cleanup of many closed theme parks and roller coasters.

2005 Updates

November 17, 2005 - Tatsu roller coaster added to the Roller Coaster Yellowpages database.

October 29, 2005 - The 2004 news stories were moved to archives in the News section.

October 11, 2005 - The Profiles feature including a blog for members is added to the live site for testing. The new Profiles Directory is open to search and browse for other members.

August 11, 2005 - The Voyage, Holiday World's new wooden coaster is the first feature added to the 2006 Preview in the Theme Parks section.

April 22, 2005 - Kingda Ka begins the 2005 Preview series in the Theme Parks section.

April 21, 2005 - Powder Keg was added to the Ride Reviews in the Roller Coasters section. Also, three photos of Knott's Xcelerator were added to the Picture Gallery.

April 4, 2005 -- A new index page replaces the old one for Roller Coaster History. A new Timeline outlining significant milestones in roller coaster history was added.

March 30, 2005 -- Finally, the Theme Parks soft-launches. No major announcement since the section is still a work-in-progress nearly three years since it began.

March 28, 2005 -- Kingda Ka was added to the steel coasters page in the Record Book.

March 8, 2005 -- Photos of Knott's new Silver Bullet inverted coaster added to the Picture Gallery in the Roller Coasters section.

March 3, 2005 -- Hersheypark's Storm Runner was added to the Ride Reviews in the Roller Coasters section.

March 2, 2005 -- A review of Funtime's StarFlyer tower ride was added to the Thrill Rides section.

February 23, 2005 -- The new Home Page layout was put live on the site.

January 25, 2005 -- The Roller Coaster History section has been updated with additional photos, gramatical and spelling corrections and navigation improvements. New photos have been added and every photo gallery page has been improved.

January 20, 2005 -- A Member Help page including "how-to" and "FAQs" was finally added to the site.

January 19, 2005 -- The Web Directory now has a Site Suggestion form so users may submit sites to be considered for the directory.

January 12, 2005 -- A significant update to the Message Boards was launched. The update includes improvements to the user interface, appearance, organization and functionality.

2004 Updates

December 27, 2004 -- The Roller Coasters section index page was updated with a new look.

December 22, 2004 -- All of the Members pages including Log-In, Log-Out, Register, Lost Password, Change Password and Modify Account were updated to match the site design. Also, error messages were updated to make sense.

December 20, 2004 -- The outdated information on the Discussion Forums Help pages has been corrected. The Discussion Forums Usage Policy was modified to address personal attacks.

December 14, 2004 -- All member features have been updated to fix problems with the member registration and account updates. A new member help page has been started.

December 12, 2004 -- Pleasureland Southport and Dreamland, Australia were added to the Roller Coaster Yellowpages. The Coaster Record Book was updated with some new records for steel coasters.

November 8, 2004 -- A review of the Typhoon roller coaster at Bobbejaanland Family Park was added to the Ride Reviews in the Roller Coasters section.

October 27, 2004 -- The Souvenirs section was updated with new books, videos and other products for sale through our partner Amazon.com.

October 21, 2004 -- The Roller Coaster Yellowpages was updated with several new coasters. Also, closed parks and rides no longer appear on the index pages, but still appear in search results.

May 3, 2004 -- A photo of the Scorpion roller coaster was added to Picture Gallery in Roller Coasters. The full-circuit steel portion of the roller coaster Record Book was updated.

April 27, 2004 -- A review and photos of Camp Snoopy's Timberland Twister roller coaster added to Ride Reviews in Roller Coasters.

April 26, 2004 -- The Roller Coaster Glossary and Roller Coaster Clubs have been moved from the Resources section to Roller Coasters. The Club Events pages received updates.

April 24, 2004 -- More new coasters for 2004 were added to the Roller Coaster Yellowpages. A number of other updates, corrections and additions were also made.

March 28, 2004 -- Photos of the Python roller coaster were added to the Picture Gallery in Roller Coasters. A photo of the White Water Canyon raft ride was added to the Picture Gallery in Thrill Rides.
