Six flags Great Adventures Labor Day Sept 2nd TR

Was a last minute decision to visit the park labor day.checked the weather saw that it was going to rain thought to myself should i really go out on a rainy day?was my first time at the park in 4 years since the summer of 2015.when i was there 4 years ago in the summer of 2015 i was 265 lbs back then.now with a 290 lb body(which is an additional 25 lbs since my last visit)who knows if i will be able to get on all the rides with my 290 lb body plus rain forecasted in the area i was thinking to myself should i visit the park or not?yes no yes no should i go or not but then i said to myself ok i will do it.got up 5.45am till i was ready to leave my house was around 7.15am because it,s a holiday the subways were running on a sunday schedule.got to port authority bus terminal in manhattan 8.15am.nj transit schedule #308 the last bus leaves port authority 9.30am but the first bus left early around 8.50am express to the park(the 9.30am bus stops also at newark penn station).

The good news is that i was able to do every ride except el toro.my 290 lb body was too big to fit in el toro & had no chooice but to do the walk off shame on el toro.but at least i was able to do all the other rides except el toro.when i was there 4 years ago in the summer of 2015 i was 265 lbs back then i was able to do all the rides including el toro.but weighing an additional 25 lbs since my last visit was too big to do el toro but at least was able to do all the otehr rides except el toro.

Arrived at the park 10.15am.got my 2019 2020 season pass.a real bargain.only $69.99 plus tax $74.65 after taxes.good at all six flags parks for the entire 2020 season & the rest of the 2019 season.a real bargain.

Most of the day was rain free.during the rain all outdoor rides closed.the only rides operating in the rain were justice league & the dark knight coaster.even skull mountain was down part of the time.while waiting to get on the dark knight coaster when i was still outside before the doors open for the preshow it started coming down pretty hard(a heavy thunderstorm)everybody that didn,t have an umbrella and/or ponchos we all went underneath the canopy till the doors opened up.it was really very interesting.

Crowds were minimal & the longest wait i had was 35 minutes for wonder woman. during the rain i did justice league & the dark knight coaster.when the rides were running(rain free)i did

Skull mountain(was down even in the rain)

The joker(just to add it to my coaster credit.wasnn,t there yet on my last visit summer 2015)

wonder woman(35 minute wait)

Cyborg(really i am against such rides but decided to do it just for the experience.reminds me of mission space at epcot)

nitro(my favorite coaster in the park plus a complete walk on)

congo rapids

Log flume(had a very interesting conversation with one of the teenage ride operators there)

runaway train(broke some of my ribs but decided to do it anyways because it,s an original ride from when the park first opened in 1974)

Kingda ka(not my favorite ride but was a complete walk on)

Zoomanjaro(love that ride plus a complete walk on)

dare devil dive skycoaster(i usually don,t do them but since it was only $10 for season pass holders decided to do it).

most of the rides were either close to or a complete walk on.the only rides that had a little wait was the joker(about 20 minutes)& wonder woman which was about 35 minutes.i was in line for the log flume about 5 minutes when it started raining.as soon as it started raining(5 minutes after i got in line for the log flume)all the rides in the park shut down.while waiting for the log flume to reopen i had a very interesting conversation with one of the teenage ride operators there.he is originally from ohio moved to new jersey last year.i mentioned cedar point to him.he told me he was there only once on a school trip but the lines were too long so did not go on any rides because the lines were too long.the new jersey devil roller coaster i asked him if he knows what area of the park it will be he told me in the area of nitro & congo rapids.

overall a great day at the park.i am happy i was there.
