What amusement park is best?
What amusement park is the best and why?
The question of which park is the best is too restrictive for me. After all, there is theoretically only one "best" but everyone will have very different criteria to consider. Perhaps a better question is what are some favorite parks and why.
For me, many of my favorites are childhood parks I grew up with. Disneyland and Knott's Berry Farm in southern California and the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk here in northern California. It probably has something to do with those fond childhood memories, plus the fact I've visited so many times over the decades.
Of course, I've added many more favorites to my list through extensive travels. Internationally, some of my favorites are EuropaPark, Phantasialand, and Tokyo DisneySea for their extensive theming. And domestically, I really love both Silver Dollar City and Dollywood.
But what has become one of our very favorite parks is Knoebels. Most of our visits have been for their Phoenix Phall Phunfest events, the most recent being a year ago. And I was surprised to see they just announced a last-minute Phoenix Phall Phunfest for next Saturday. Didn't think they'd be able to pull that off with all the Covid stuff, but good for them.
Hmmm, I still need that coaster fix ...

Busch Gardens Williamsburg
Cedar Point
Hersheypark
Kings Island
Six Flags Great America
I haven't ridden the newest coasters at those bottom three, so the order may need to change. I'm also a little behind on what I rode at SFMM, so that should move up from #8. Next year Busch Gardens Tampa will move up from #10.
