any fall or winter park visit plans?

It's been wayyyy to quiet here, so in the interest of generating some discussion:

Do you have any plans to visit any parks this fall or winter?

My family and I will be at Walt Disney World next week for a few days, and really excited about attending Mickey's Not So Scary party (I'll actually livestream from it for anyone that follows the channel)

I'll also make at least one more stop at Silver Dollar City for their craft festival.

And I'll get out to Silver Dollar city a couple of times to enjoy their Christmas festival, which is absolutely incredible.

I don't think we're going to make any other parks this year, but who knows what might come up.

I’d love to see SDC’s craft festival. Hmmm

Let’s see; I’m going to Dollywood for my bday at the end of the month. Hopefully BGW for their Christmas event. And I’d love to hit up Cedar Point one last time. But I’m not sure all will happen.

We're headed back to Orlando at the end of November. The week after Thanksgiving (or a few weeks before) has become our best time to go. Last year we had our younger son and his family down from Cinci and spent a wonderful week at Universal Studios.

This year I had to let our Universal passes lapse. We just had too much else going on. But we did pick up Disney season passes and that's where we'll be going in a few weeks. Most likely this will be my first time renting a scooter. Yup, I'll be one of those old guys trying to barge his way thru the crowd on a "mobility device".

We did manage to get one ride on Avatar last spring. Whether or not I will be able to tolerate any thrill sides (such as they are at WDW) will depend on the new zipper down my belly healing. If not, I'll still enjoy POTC. Anything with a seatbelt may be out though.

We sure do miss the old days, but life has been far from boring!

I'll be back down at WDW in late Feb as well with my daughter. It would be great to see you if you're up for it.

Hate hearing what you're going through, but sadly it does seem more common among friends and people I know as I get older. But hopefully you'll heal up well and fully so you can enjoy the time.

Was happy to hear you got my note. Don't be a stranger.

I might try to make a quick visit to Tokyo Dome City and Thunder Dolphin before a meeting near there in December. It would be cold, but worth it considering there probably won’t be much of a line. I will be in Sapporo over Christmas, but it looks like the parks near there are closed. We have sometimes gone to Nagashima Spa-Land at the end of the year, but we are waiting for Hakugei to open next spring. That will be our first RMC. Blessed to be in a place where we can ride all year. Who knows that we might do the New Years Light Festival at Tobu Zoo again, it was very fun a couple of years ago.
