4 killed on rapids ride in Australia after boat flips

I can't remember for sure, but I swear the same thing happened at a dif park several years ago with the raft flipping over.

And then of course, CP's Shoot The Rapids flipped back and trapped people under the boat and water. Seems like these type of accidents have been kind of frequent, no? Makes going on the raft ones a little nerve racking, you never know..

Same thing happened at Kennywood's Raging Rapids in the early 90's. I actually knew 2 of the people that were on the raft that overturned. Fortunately, no one was killed or seriously injured during the incident at Kennywood. My thoughts and prayers go out to the families of the 4 people that were killed in this new incident.

Reading the updates, the accident happened at the end of the ride, not during any of the actual rapids or water portion. Somehow the boat got caught on the side of the conveyor belt that brings it into the station, throwing the 2 people out on top of the belt and pulling the side of the boat down under where it should catch the belt and pulling the other 2 people down there. Almost like the belt was going in reverse and causing it to get caught and flip violently into a sidways/ vertical position.
