TR of sorts (one coaster)...
...and that one coaster is unique in that it is a permanent woodie in a state fair such that it runs less than six weeks each calendar year...
----------------------------
Friday, Sept 16
WA state fair
Puyallup, WA (say pew-uh-lop)
I road Classic Coaster.
Not a top thrill, but it provided a couple moments of nice air and one caught-me-by-surprise-jerk-to-the-right-while-I-went-left moment.
Said moment was due to
1. No seatbelts
2. No seat dividers
3. Buzz bars
4. Me riding solo.
Only train running was Or'nry Orange.
I would have preferred Blaz'n Blue but that's only because I prefer blue.
Ol' Yeller? Nope...that was a Disney movie when I was a kid.

Snap any pics of it? I bet that's a ride that not many coaster enthusiasts have hit!
157 Coasters -- Favorite Coaster -- Nitro (SFGAdv)
117 Steel -- 40 Wood -- Home Park: SFGADv

Nope, no photos.
I just don't think of it.
I forget.
I can't be bothered.
Images are seared into my brain.
Plenty exist on the "inter-web."
I'm old ("Beatles birthday" hit me four days later).
And since as of early August I changed my cell phone, er, pocket computer, from a Samsung Galaxy S (no #) to the S7 and know at least that taking photos is easy easy easy (can take one while in video mode for cry-eye) you would think I would have. But no.
For reasons above.

Know that (most of) the reply above is tongue in cheek.
Even as the facts are...real!
LOL

Glad you got a chance to ride Classic Coaster at Puyallup. It's a tough one to get to since it's only open during the spring and fall fairs. We rode it last year, and it was a very good ride.
I don't suppose you got to Playland up in Vancouver or Silverwood out in Idaho? Some fine wood coasters in those 2 places as well.

Rick,
I visited both of those parks in a trip years ago.
I recall some great rides on all of the woodies.
Never forgot Playland's Coaster with the "automatic" track oiling feature. A fantastic ride then, hope it still is.
I'd like to re-visit, but you know how that goes with still so many other places to see and/or new installations to ride.
Liz & I would have visited Wild Waves/Enchanted Village but they were in their post-regular season / pre-Halloween shutdown. I knew that before the trip.
