Well I went to opening day at PKD and let me just say it seems like a great park. This was my first time there and I had no trouble finding it. ..............BUT.......... the Rebel Yell was only running one train on each track....... ...The Hurler was not running for a hour or so... ..... The Grizzly was not running for a couple of hrs.. then it was only one train ...and they held that one up every time trying to figure out where loose bolts were coming from .....Shock Wave ...One train... then it broke not to reopen (didn't get to ride) .... Volcano... not sure how many trains but the line was criminally long and not moving... rarely saw a train running the track.. then it broke not to reopen.(didn't get to ride) ... Extreme Sky Flyer.... made a reservation for 2 pm..... so did 30 other people... finally got to fly at 2:45 ......and last but not least the new ride in the Nickelodeon area... ran ALL day with no one on it.... yet employees couldn't say what was wrong or fix it although the ride seemed to be fine (from an earlier post it seemed lke the raise and lower hydros had been fixed, it was going up and down

I know we're talking about machines. And machines do break down but I paid a full price to not get full service. Two of the rides I traveled 225 miles to ride were on one train operation and their ride ops were so slow that it seemed like it was the end of the season instead of the beginning. Come on PKD I KNOW you can do better than this.

Coastin Steve who wonders why PKI gives ACE 50% off and PKD gives none

To you, the "i know everything" guest, just because it "seems" alright, doesnt mean that it is. they are being safe and not opening that ride to anyone. If what happened to it then what happend that other day, everyone will be in big big trouble.

You're right, PKD *can* (and almost always does)do better than that. I was also there opening day, and was mildly disppointed. I really didn't like the new belts on Shockwave, made necessary because some fool jumped off.... (not PKD's fault). They made the loading so painfully slow, it was frustrating. The line was inside the station, but it still took 30 mins. Really not like PKD. Scooby Doo apparently had new seatbelts, too, slowing down their loading to a crawl (the line was moving so slow, we got out of line). I didn't know why the Grizzly was only running one train, but I whined about it anyway (loose bolts sounds like a good reason, tho). Hurler was running two trains when we rode it, and the line for Rebel Yell was so short I didn't notice the number of trains. I had a nice day, but I did notice that things weren't really up to PKD standards yet. I'm sure operations will get better as the crews get more familiar with their jobs. PKD is known for their high capacity, and I have no reason to expect this year to be any different.
