My guesses on Six Flags-2001 at this point
All of these are just guesses based upon what I have heard rumored about SF parks and what I believe that each needs. here goes:
SFA - Big waterpark improvements
SFAW - CCI L-Shaped out and back woodie. (confirmed at IAAPA)
SFDL - GCI dueling woodies, S&S turbo drop/space shot towers, Zierer family coaster.
SFEG - B&M Floorless, Proj. 34
SFFT - Proj. 34
SFGAdv - The second CCI going to SF. TA2K
SFGAm - Waterpark, Hotel, Entertainment village
SFH - S&S Turbo drop/space shot towers, Zierer family coaster
SFKK - Intamin Hyper (S:RoS), Huss Top Spin
SFMM - Top Spin, Proj. 34
SFMW - S&S Space Shot/Turbo Drop Towers
SFM - I can't even guess, I know nothing about this park.
SFNE - Huss Frisbee
SFO - I would be shocked if this park added anything major next year. so i say nothing.
SFoG - The third CCI woodie going to SF, Proj. 34
SFoT - Giovanola Hypercoaster, possibly more (40th anneversary i believe).
SFStl - Zierer Family Coaster, Huss Top Spin
New SF Park - Six Flags Escape(the Great Escape)- B&M floorless, Top Spin, Project 34.
Well, there ya have it, my current guesses of what each Six Flags park may get in 2001. Post what your opinions are!
Okay I have one question. What's Proj. 34?????
> SFMM - Top Spin, Proj. 34 Considering that Six Flags Magic Mountain will be celebrating its 30th anniversary and Disney's California Adventure park is opening up, I promise you there will be more. My guesses arethe Huss Fly Away (Project 34), many other flat rides, improvements in theming, and a B&M Dive Machine. Also, Flashback will be moved to Cyclone Bay (hopefully in the lake where Jet Stream is).

Okay, I was wondering that too, so I headed over to the Huss website. A link is below. Just click on the fly away logo once you are there and it will take you to the page about it. Hope this helps.

Project 34 is a visually stunning, but dull ride ridewise from Huss- essentially an enterprise with lay down seats/devices that allow riders to lie on their stomachs.
On SFNE getting a Huss Frisbee, done already- it was installed last year as part of the new Crackaxle Canyon section along with the Vekoma Madhouse and Rodeo (Huss Breakdance identical in theming to SFGADV's).

>SFMW - S&S Space Shot/Turbo Drop Towers
I would have to agree with you on the towers for SFMW. I think the park will take a break from building roller coasters for a while. They really need some flat rides over on the side of the park where the Tiger Island Splash Attack is. I never really go in that area of the park because the lack of rides. Not sure if there is room for anything over there though.

I definetely thing SFStL will get a Coaster or Two for two main reasons.
1)With the still Free Hurricane Harbour AND the Boss, attendance is bound to go up more. 2)Obviously many of you didn't remeber 2001 is the thirtieth anniversarry.
Expect something coasterwise is all I haver to say. I speculate a Hyper, but some I know tell me I am wrong. I just see more than a Zierer.

2001 WILL be a massive year for the Mountain, as it is the big 30. If I had to guess about coaster additions, a B&M Dive Machine seems damn likely. Also, I am one of those who believes that two coasters will be added, with the second a CCI woodie (similar to Villian or Boss)or a custom version of the Joker's Jinx (larger, faster, or another inversion maybe ???) Lastly, major 'general' improvements to make MM more enjoyable like more flat rides, better food, shade and something like the fountain at CityWalk to cool off in (Valencia gets TOO hot in the summer; Damn!).

SFH - S&S Turbo drop/space shot towers, Zierer family coaster why building another zierer family coaster, if they already have one. I don't expect either a S&S tower combination, because they already have one, and at this corner of the park, there is no room for another one. I instead expect a Intamin Hyper.

I also think a set of S&S towers will be a go for 2001 but I don't think SFMW will stop building coasters just yet. Their coaster count is still only at 4, the least of any SF parks I believe (SFEG has 5 I think) and competition between SFMW and PGA is only starting to heat up and 2001 will bring in a big (and unique) coaster as everyone including SFMW knows by now. SFMW knows that they need another major roller coaster to fight off PGA because Stealth is already recieving major nationwide recognition. I believe most people agree that Medusa West is one terrific roller coaster but it's only 1 of 4 new floorlesses this year and 1 of 5 overall unlike PGA's Stealth not only able to tout it as the world's first flying coaster, but also introducing all sorts of new unique features never before seen on other roller coasters. I believe SFMW 2001 will bring in an Intamin impulse coaster, that's about the only think that would fit in perfectly at the old parking lot which should be a new entrance plaza next year and would fit the description of "big and fast" as once said by a park GM (I forgot where I heard that). It's either that or an Intamin hypercoaster (hopefully). Now PGA and SFMW will really be at it once again!
