If PCWonderland were to get STEALTH...............
...... I don't think we'd have to wait until mid August to find out what the next year's attraction would be.
Wouldn't Wonderland necessarily follow suit with PGA and begin construction on STEALTH this season in preparation for the next seson?
If memory serves, PGA had STEALTH basically completed (minus the trains) last year.
So if PCW has decided on getting a STEALTH clone, then I believe we will see the evidence of that as early as June or July when they start the construction for it.
And what a great 2001 Season Pass pitch that would be for this year's patrons, eh? They'd see a BIG rollercoaster being built and just go crazy with anticpation for next year and buy 2001 season passes like crazy in September.
Anyway... these are just some speculative thoughts.
Take care,
Roxy
Looking at the Stealth thing from a business sense; Wonderland would be crazy to pass up getting one for the park. That would give them the only "Flying" coaster on the East Coast. They would get so much business. Park attendance would increase at least 15% for sure.
True, they do have somewhat of a monopoly in their area, but they should take notice of Darien Lake's potential, and Six Flags Determination to improve SFDL in the future. We were caught by surprise at how amazing SROS at Darien was...Just think of what Premier has up their sleeves for Darien in the future.
And from the coaster enthusiasts point of view, "5 years is long enough to go without another 'real' coaster(the Fly wild mouse of 99, YAWN!!!) but six years is proposterous.
I bought 2000 a season's pass from Wonderland last fall, but I'll probably use it more at King's Island than Wonderland.
Let's just hope that the Paramount Execs. get their butts in gear, and see the potential that Stealth has here in Ontario...

I dont think so because they would not have to take all that time to test it out. but then again in Janruary the ground is frozen so really any major coaster would have to start at least in september.
I agree with Joe that it was built early at PGA for testing. The same would not be required for PCW. I will go on record as one of the few who does not want a Stealth at PCW. That's right I don't want it. But, this sounds like the typical ride that Wonderland would get. I am a little afraid that this is what we are getting in 2001.

I agree, i would rather get a above average coaster 150-175 4-5 inversions(or even less) and 10(or so) flat rides and more food stands rather than a stealth or a hyper. I would not stand in line for a coaster for 3 hours for one ride and keep on doing that the entire day. I would rather go to the water park and go on the other coasters and rides such as Wilde Beast and Night Mares.

I would be the happiest to have this coaster arrive to Wonderland. I was so excited when I heard the idea of it going to PGA. I was so mad, I wanted it here. And now we may have the chance to ride it!!! I hope this happens, again as a few posts down what Northrider said, we would have the only flying coaster in the east and it would add nicely to Wonderlands line up being "the best variety of coasters".

Stealth is a great ride, and you can bet that every Paramount park will get a version of this ride. I had pretty moderate expectations for Stealth, and it astonished me...
