Most intense helix experienced?
On what roller coaster have u experienced your most intense helix??.....Btw, you know how the track in a helix is tilted inwards, well are there any helixes which tilt the train sideways so that it is parallel to the ground...like a horizontal loop if u know what i mean .
Raptor is best. I also love the helix on Shockwave at PKD.

Tie: Goliath @ SFMM and Titan @ SFOT.

King Kobra, formerly of PKI, my favorite standup ever by the way, had a helix that seemed almost horizontal to the ground. By far the steepest I've ridden.
As for the best, I must agree that Goliath is extremely intense, I've never greyed out like that before. Everything else pales in comparison to pure positive Gs, including anything at CP, which is a heavy-positive G park, in my experience (where's the air?)
As for wood, Legend's is hard to beat, but I dislike it when it lets up 3/4 of the way through, I believe it's right before the 2nd tunnel, it really breaks up the pacing of the ride. For some odd reason, I just love the helix on Cornball Express, it's perfect in length, and very consistant, never lets up, but never increases in intensity either, just a fun, fun helix!

I agree about Goliath's helix and with Raptor's mid-course brake turned off, the final helix at the end is quite intense too.
The Beast still has the best helices in coasterdom and even though there is a brake on the approach to it, the train still rips right through it.

Titan is just... gah. Wow.
I have never felt so *drained* geting off a ride before. That, and coupled with 38-40 C weather, lead for a lot of energy loss. :) Not exactly what I like in a coaster, but it is ever impressive.

Midbender at West Edmonton Mall. It has been awhile but i still remember. It was very tight and fast.
Regards,
Coasterdude.
Titan has a very nice final helix....even though its been slowed down.
I have two that come to mind immediately...one wood, and one steel.
Wild One - Six Flags America. I don't like helices - particularly on wood coasters. This one, however, is one of the best.
Top Gun - Paramount's Great America. A great - and intense - finale to a great ride.

Actually Bill, this is mine also. I just love the lateral's on this helix.
Sean
Goliath has the most intense helix in my opinion, it is tough just to hold your hands up.

Raptor at CP. Last time I was on it was when they were running the mid course, so now I wonder how much more the G's will be on it.

Titan wins hands down. Before they cranked up the breaks I remember getting off the train and having troubling walking due to excessive amount of blood in my legs. I also remember after about 15 consecutive runs on a very un-crowded day blacking out and even passing out completely once which left my riding buddy covered my drool. Now that's an intense helix.

For the most intense, here are a few that come to mind: Here are a few of the most intense that come to mind:
-Nitro (Fast & makes me grey out every time!)
-Beast (Fast & furious)
-SOB (Very intense)
As you can see Beast, beast and more beast....and a little bit of Nitro.
-DAN
-Goliath at SFMM ( my brother and I blacked out 1st time
-Top Gun @ Paramounts Great America (the first one) I went on it about 4 inna row and blacked out the final time.

For steel, it's Titan for me. I had never greyed out before that ride. In fact I asked someone early this year wheat they meant when they said they greyed out on a coaster, as I had never done that before. Then I rode Titan. WOW. very intense.
For wood, it was SOB. My heart felt like it was being pushed back in my chest, very weird feeling. Didn't grey out tho.

Steel....... King Cobra RIP
Wood......... Son of Beast
#1 - Beast.
Honorable mention: Batman - Knight Flight: Doesn't look like much, but after the interlocking corkscrew, BKF power-circle-dives into a one round helix that makes you forget about airtime.
Euclid Beast
omg.....if u guys have blacked out b4 in helixes does that mean that u roll up back into the station unconcious??? what does that tell the park officials?
personally im not sayin that something should be done about it but im amazed that nothing is being done to something which is potentially hazardous...
Obviously, anyone who puts anything other than Goliath or Titan...hasn't ridden Goliath or Titan! Even with the complete-stop brakes on, their double-helices are still the most intense positive-G elements out there. Raptor is no slouch, it's clearly the #2. I'd throw Kumba out there for #3.
Shivering Timbers late at night, very intense great experience!

Siiiick. That's really sick (lol) -
Now

But, is it fun? (lol)

There are several intense helixes I've experienced thus far:
The Boss at SFSTL
Mamba at WOF in Kansas City
As some have said on here, Raptor, with the brakes off, delivers a powerful punch
And, of course, Beast and SOB at PKI.

I have to say that the Beast at PKI still has one of the best helix in coasters today. But that doesn't mean that the other ones are crap, they are all good... well maybe not for anything at Valleyfair!
Patrick
Goliath at sfmm almost blacked out. It's greeeeeeat.
> Goliath at sfmm almost blacked out. It's

It's the most intense one, I know, but for me it is way too intense. I don't have any problems with it, but I don't see the point, why this should be so funny. The best and most amusing helices in steel coasters are made by Schwarzkopf IMHO, especially Jetline@Tivoli Gröna Lund and Olympia Looping are great. The helices at the Vekoma "Megablitz" Coaster a the Vienna Prater are also great. Regarding wooden coasters, I love the helix of Tonnere de Zeus, brilliant...

Not to knock Goliath, but for those of you lucky enough to have visited the Lone Star State, I have to say Texas has a slight edge over CA due to Titan's way-big-, way-high upward helix vefore the mid-course brakes. This helix is almost as intense as the centrifuge at the end of the coaster. Yes, Goliath is mighty fine, but Titan gives you that sensation twice.

Great helixes in order of intensity for me:
BEAST *PKI
Son of BEAST *PKI
Raptor *CP without the mid-course trims, of course
Mamba *WoF
MommaBeast

Goliath! Twister also has a nice helix.
Goliath's helix rules hands down...
I did not find Raptors helix intense at all...

GOLIATH's helix rules for me .....have never felt
one as intense as that - definitely not easy to hold
up your hands on it. Have never greyed out on it, but
I know many have!

Is son of beast helix more intense then nitro Great adventure upward helix, Titan Six flags over Texas upward helix and Goliath helix at six flags magic mountain? Was son of beast more aggressive intense and rougher and shakier then steel vengeance cedar point and el toro great adventure and more intense then i305 kings dominion? What is more aggressive and most intense of these coasters x2 magic mountain, tatsu magic mountain, i305 kings dominion, el toro Hersheypark, fury325 Carowinds, steel vengeance cedar point and skyrush Hersheypark? What’s the most intense and aggressive coaster u ever been on and why? What’s the roughest shakiest and most painful coaster u ever been on and why?
