does anyone know where to get a patch for it??? Please help. i love roller coaster tycoon 1 but thats the only one that works and i got soooo excited when i bought this. HELP! please!!!!!

Every bit of software (including DirectX 9) you need to play the game is on the disc, so I'm afraid it sounds like your graphics card can't support DirectX 9.

If it's any consolation, the game really isn't good enough to bother upgrading your computer for. Sorry.

I've upgrade my machine's graphics card and enjoy the game better then when I first played RCT 1. Being able to set your one music to the ride is just SUPER! I would uninstall RCT3 completely. Upgrade to a better graphics card (49.99 to 149.99 from Walmart works fine). then reinstall everything.
