I've heard that "RollerCoaster Tycoon 3D" will be released in time for Christmas. There are no details yet, but Chris Sawyer is in charge and it will use 3D graphics.

its been announced but no details other than its going to be 3-D. Chris Sawyer is supposedly working on it... hopefully this will be the best in the series and start another RCT revolution

It seems there are great new rides!
Hanging rollercoaster, hanging above the roller coaster, a rocket simulator, and a whole bunch more than ive never seen before, so i cant really name them.
check it out for yourselves!
it also looks like you can actually RIDE the ride!
so you can be a person that is riding the rollercoaster!

I actually saw the game being played at E3 in Los Angeles in May. You will not be disapointed with the new one.
One cool point is the terrain editor, you just paint the area with the type of land you want.
Also the park comes to life with nighttime added, all of the parks lights turn on.
There is also an auto finish to the rollercoaster editor, so you can see if what you currently have is not too extreme before continuing, or if you just don't want to complete the track to the station.
Of coarse you can now ride the coasters you build.

In the latest video a skywheel and zipper are confirmed. Also there are fireworks and celebrities. Visit www.rollercoastertycoon.com or www.rct2.com in the forums section for more information.

It looks awesome! i hope you can have hydrolic launch coasters. i think you do though, look at the thrid video, from July, i think thats a hydrolic launch.
And i hope theres drop towers!
