Does anyone know how much the add on package will cost and what some of the advantages are to this package.

I can answer part b of your question. The pack will allow construction of new rc designs and cool scenery and paths plus 25 new scenarios. However part b I won't be able to answer for a few days... I'm waiting to get a call from Chris Sawyer to confirm answer some of my many questions.

New coasters include a Traver-style woodie with steep banked drops and helixes; a steel twister with optional inversion (so you can build Raging Bull or Kumba), a Virginia Reel, a Stealth, GyroDrop, ghost train, turntables for the log flume, and some others.
