The superband!
Just wondering what everyone thinks is the superband out there, by that I mean the band with the most all around talent, by this they must have talent in at least guiter, bass, vocals, and drums. Other instruments can be thrown in, but for each member the most talented, like I could try Pantera, but they lack talent in bass, same with Slayer, so they're not in. Overall I'd have to say the legendary FAITH NO MORE, Bordin on drums, Martin on guitar, Gould on bass, Patton on vocals, and throw in Roddy Bottum on keyboards, and all are very good at what they do.

Okay, this band is not my favorite band, there probably like #11 or #10,i like a few bands better, i believe that Iced Earth is the superband and deserves more than they have. They are great, and their last album Horror Show ruled. They have a singer whos very talented, a guitar player whos the only one thats been around the whole time whos great, and for the rest of the band, there all good, well whoever whos playing for them now lol

I would have to say Tool. Awsome drums, bass, & vocals, and better than average lead guitar. What I love about them is their lyrics. Absolutely beautiful, and the music is beautiful as well. It's sort of hard to believe that music so heavy can be like that, but Tool does it. Particularly on Aenima & Lateralus.

I agree Brent. Iced Earth's new CD was killer. Great vocals, great riffs. It had everything. Schaffer deserves more. If you really like them, pick up their first CD, it is classic.
Yeah, I really like Iced Earth too, I thought Horror Show was one of the better releases to date so far this year.
+Live+. Hands down. Ed Kowalczyk has by far the most superior vocals of any band today. Chad Taylor can really play guitar exceedingly well, but is not really allowed to show off his talent on cds for some reason. Pat Dalheimer on bass is always great, and Chad Gracey is an insanely good drummer. Throw in the fact that they have excellent song writing, and that they just play together very well as a band, and they are an awesome band. The thing that separates them from a lot of other good bands though is the fact that they have extraordinary variety in their songs, and can make them all sound really good too. The new cd, V, out on September 18th (go buy it) has some good rockers with a few rap verses and then a few songs with basically just a piano and the singer. But, the true test of a band is how well they play outside of a studio, and nobody can touch Live when it comes to that. Sorry, but I've seen a good amount of bands live in concert, and absolutely nobody can put on a show like Live can. Maybe I just like Live too much, but I think they are probably the most underrated band of the 90's. -Allan
Kyle,
it is good to see somebody on the board that doesn't like all mainstream music. Yes,Horror Show was great, and i think it would be damn hard for the record company to choose 3 singles on that album because every single song on the album is +great+. Like i said though, there not my favorite band, but there probably the most talented underground band out there.
