Motion Sickness

I am in love with a man who loves roller coasters.
We went to Orlando on our honeymoon and have been to several New England parks, most recently the Great Escape over Labor day.

Roller coasters make me ill, and I am so jealous of his enjoyment of them. Can some one tell me of a proven way to get over this so I can enjoy riding with him ?

thanks

If it's motion sickness, I suggest trying Dramamine. While roller coasters don't bother me, spin-n-spews is a correct term for me. I started taking Dramamine about 4 years ago and can ride anything to my hearts content. :)

Although I've never tried either I've also heard eating Ginger beforehand works and those funky pressure bracelets work. They are open ended bracelets with balls on the end that hit at pressure points on your wrists.

Good Luck!

hey brittonmart, congrats on getting married! I won't boast, but neither coasters or spin and spews make me nauseas, and I have bad balance as well.

Odd thing is, my kids get seasick which is akin to motion sickness, but coasters and spin-n-spews don't bother them!

Go figure.

I'd go the Dramamine route if I were you.

Good luck and congrats!

I love all kinds of rides but I am sensative to motion also. Dramamine will handle the dizziness and stomach upset but it makes me so sleepy I loose my enjoyment. If this happens to you, try a brand called Equate. It contains some but not all of the ingredients in Dramamine and does not make me sleepy. I have not had any luck with ginger or acupressure bracelets.
