Glad to see several fans of Kingpin. However, NO list of great movies could be complete without "Who's afraid of Virginia Woolf". My personal fav is Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory - Gene Wilder was beyond reality, and Hershey could be missing out on a real marketing opportunity for a coaster. I also though Jay and Silent Bob deserve a mention, as does HITCHCOCK (sleep well...Buwahahahahaha)!
Must be my age but I rate the 1970's as THE golden age of movies...not in any particular order..
Godfather 1 & 2
Papillon
The Outlaw Josey Wales
Get Carter

Manhattan
Taxi Driver
Midnight Express
Close Encounters of the third kind
Star Wars
and of course Rollercoaster which I saw in "sensurround" in Liverpool!!...the list goes on...
I'm surprised I'm the only person to mention UHF, usually when I mention it in a group or something, everyone gets all nuts about how much they liked that movie, oh well, consider that a UHF ad.
