Hair Raiser at Ocean Park, Hong Kong
Just thought I'd share my excitement at a new roller coaster opening at Ocean Park in Hong Kong. Hair Raiser is a custom, B&M floorless coaster which sits atop a mountain overlooking the sea.
I really have a soft spot for floorless coasters, they've always got a lot of stick from coaster geeks as you only get the effect of the ride in the front row. While I see this criticism, personally I've found them to be fun wherever you sit, get over it geeks! I also love the sheer drama of the floor folding away before the ride starts, it's a little over the top and turns the start of the ride into an epic ceremony.
Check out this awesome photo of the layout With the advent of Wing Rider I guess we'll see less floorless coasters from B&M. So let's take a ride with this front row POV video. :)

What a beautiful setting/location and photo!
I may be a coaster geek... I post on the North American board regularly, but look at this board occasionally. But I'm not one of those who feels a floorless can only be appreciated in the front row. And, being bald, I love the name!
Looks like it just opened last week!
BTW, geography is not my strong suit. What body of water would that be? The China Sea?

Nice setting! would be great to ride that one day!
Love to color.

Wow, it looks like one of those RCT coasters that's situated in an unrealistically beautiful setting, but it's totally real!!! That view from the top of the lift is unbelievable.

Well said! It really bugs me how Floorlesses have always been given a raw deal by a lot of coaster enthusiasts. Yeah, the view from the front is best, just like any coaster, most of all inverteds!
I see Floorlesses as "evolution" coasters (as opposed to revolution). They don't try to do anything radical, just make a traditional experience better... which is exactly what I like.
This one looks superb, with a stunning view of the bay.

Wow, this looks great! Like Graz, I too love the floorless concept. I've only ridden Dominator, but it's this generation multi-loopers. I would like to see more floorlesses too, but I too believe the wing rider concept is going to hurt it.
