I took my first overseas trip and spent a couple of days in Europa Park in the little town of Rust near the French border close to Strasbourg, France. My first ride was on the Silver Star, sponsored by Mercedes, and I ended up riding it multiple times during my stay. That, and Euro-Mir in "Russia" were the most fun and exciting in my opinion. The park's layout (different countries each with rides that reflected something about that part of Europe) was effective, and being surrounded by people speaking so many different languages almost made the country theme seem believable. Nice town, too. Very laid back, affordable guesthouses, friendly people, and easy to get around by bike or by walking. Highly recommend it for a vacation with kids or without.
