This roller coaster is the oldest operating one in the state of Connecticut. Lake Compounce's Wildcat is a double out and back wooden coaster designed by Herbert Paul Schmeck and built by the Philadelphia Toboggan Company in 1927. In 1986 the roller coaster was rebuilt, but remains in its original location, the center of this beautiful mountainside Connecticut amusement park.
