Most would not consider this to be a roller coaster. Vikingar was a wooden, side-friction, shoot-the-chutes water coaster. Once a very common ride, it was rare with it opened at Blackpool Pleasure Beach after being relocated from Belle Vue Park in 1979. It operated continuously from 1980 until 2000, and for two more season in 2002 and 2003.
