This was a first-of-its-kind roller coaster designed to resemble a hang glider. On Vertigo passengers were seated four abreast in individual cars suspended from an overhead track. An "elevator" style lift, lifted the cars up 180 feet before sending them off on the 2,369-foot long course. There were no inversions on the Vertigo roller coaster and the top speed was a gentle 37 mph.
Unfortunately, Walibi Belgium had to remove Vertigo after a series of technical glitches. Problems prevented it from opening as scheduled for the 2006 season. Once it opened in 2007 the problems continued until the park made the decision to close the attraction for good on May 20, 2008.
