Knoebels' Twister is based on the classic John Allen designed Mister Twister roller coaster that operated at the original Elitch Gardens in Denver, Colorado. This new version retains many of the original elements, but was slightly modified to fit the smaller site. The modifications for Knoebels' Twister include a split lift hill, below ground tunnel and a second swoop turn.
