Six Flags Over Georgia used the existing Georgia Cyclone wood structure as a footprint for building this new steel-hybrid roller coaster. Using Rocky Mountain Construction's (RMC) innovative, patented I-Box steel track technology the new Twisted Cyclone delivers an incredibly smooth ride with more exciting elements, including three inversions. Modifications include raising the first drop to 100 feet (30 meters), making the angle of descent steeper and adding a total of ten airtime hills. The two trains are themed to resemble a 1960s-era sports convertible, and the top speed remained the same at 50 miles-per-hour.
