This was the very first Arrow Shuttle Loop coaster when it opened at Paramount's Kings Island in 1977. The Demon continued to operate at Kings Island until 1988 when it was relocated to Camden Park. Thunderbolt Express stood 56 feet tall and featured a 47-foot drop into a vertical loop from two platforms. During the course of the minute long ride the train would travel through the loop going once forwards and then again going backwards. Thunderbolt Express closed after the 1999 season and stood at the park until it was dismantled in November 2004.
