Steeplechase is the last operating example of this very unique roller coaster. This three track, racing roller coaster at Pleasure Beach Blackpool opened in 1977. Custom designed and built by Arrow Dynamics, the origin of the Steeplechase ride dates back to Coney Island and the 1920s. On Steeplechase two riders board an individual vehicle that is designed to resemble a racehorse. Seated inline, the riders embark on an exciting race on one of the three side-by-side steel tracks.
