This is an Intamin designed rocket coaster that uses a 6,000 horsepower hydraulic motor to launch the 12-passenger trains from zero to 55.9 mph in just 2.2 seconds! Speed Monster's blue steel track tops out at 131 feet and is twisted into three inverting elements called the norwegian loop and corkscrew.
