Canada's Wonderland announced that 2014 would be the final season of operation for this roller coaster and it closed on September 1, 2014. Skyrider will be remembered for being one of the earliest stand-up coasters in the world and a clone of the King Cobra at Kings Island. The ride featured a vertical loop, several air-time hills, a high speed helix, and a section of rarely seen "trick track" on a steel coaster.
