Colossus Facts

Colossus was the world's tallest, fastest and longest dual-track wooden coaster when it opened in 1978.

Those who remember the opening year often recall the long wait times that sometimes exceeded three hours for a single ride.

After 36-years Colossus closed forever on August 16, 2014. This iconic roller coaster has since been reinvented to become the mighty Twisted Colossus.
