Located on the lakefront in Lunenberg this 30-acre amusement park closed at the end of the 2000 season. A last ditch effort to save the amusement park failed and the park was eventually sold to a developer. Whalom Park's antique Carousel was sold piece-by-piece at auction. A few years later the historic ballroom burned down. On October 18, 2006 the remaining structures including the Flyer Comet roller coaster were demolished to make room for the 240 condminiums that will be built on the property.
