Universal Studios Japan is located in Osaka in the Konohana waterfront district. Just like the Universal Studios Parks in the United States, the rides, shows, and attractions here are also based on Hollywood movies and television. The theme park is divided into eight themed areas– New York City, Hollywood, San Francisco, Jurassic Park™, Amity Village, WaterWorld, Minion Park, Universal Wonderland, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™ and the soon to open Super Nintendo World. Some of the most popular attractions include The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man, Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey, and roller coasters like Hollywood Dream–The Ride and The Flying Dinosaur. Universal Studios Japan operates every day, year-round.
