As of January 1, 2011 Fun Forest has closed for good. The park arranged a deal with the city of Seattle to end their lease earlier than 2014 expiration.
Fun Forest was located directly beneath the landmark Space Needle in Seattle. This family amusement park was part of the 20-acre Seattle Center, the site of the 1962 World's Fair. The park featured 20 rides, half of which were designed for children. For older guests there was a roller coaster, log ride and Ferris wheel along with several spinning thrill rides. The indoor pavilion had laser tag, miniature golf and video games. Admission to the park was free and rides were priced on a pay as you go basis with a pay-one-price plan offered on weekdays. The park operated March through October.
