Belmont Park offers family fun and entertainment with nearly a dozen rides, amusement park games, shops and oceanfront restaurants. This historic beachfront amusement park located beside San Diego's Mission Beach opened in 1925. The park's most distinctive attraction is the restored Giant Dipper wooden coaster, one of two original oceanfront coasters still in operation on the West Coast. Belmont Park is also the nation's first amusement park to feature the FlowRider, a ride able simulated wave attraction in the Wave House. The park's historic Plunge built in 1925 is the largest indoor public swimming pool in Southern California.
