Board a two-car bobsled for a wild ride through and down the icy slopes of the Disneyland Matterhorn, a 1/100th scale replica of the original Swiss mountain. During the ride guests will encounter the fearful Abominable Snowman in three separate locations. Disneyland Park's Matterhorn Bobsleds is actually two separate roller coasters and is notable since it is the world's first tubular tracked steel coaster.

Skid brakes and man-made water features are used for braking the trains.
Each side is designed to operate with a maximum of 10 trains on the circuit.
Track A (left side) is 2,037 feet & ride time is 2:07; Track B (right side) is 2,134 feet & ride time is 2:26
January 5, 2015 – Shut down so the Abominable Snowman animatronics and special effects can be updated for Disneyland Park's 60th anniversary. The ride reopened on May 22, 2015
January 9, 2012 – Shut down for six months for a major refurbishment. For only the second time in its history scaffolding is erected over the exterior of the entire mountain. The 8-passenger trains are replaced with new 6-passenger trains with electronic locking seat belts and the height requirement is increased from 35 to 42 inches. The ride reopened on June 15, 2012.
1978 – Matterhorn Bobsleds received a major renovation that included the addition of the six Abominable Snowman; the ice crystal cavern at the top of the lift hill; and the trains were modified to have two cars instead of one, doubling the attraction's capacity.
