Flight of Fear roller coaster at Kings Island takes riders on a heart-pounding adventure throughout a one-acre enclosed structure in total darkness. The world's first linear induction motor (LIM) launched coaster, Flight of Fear catapults riders from zero to 54 mph in just four seconds into a series of four twisted inversions. This ride is also considered one of the most innovative theme-based attractions ever constructed.

Inversions: Cobra Roll, Sidewinder, Corkscrew

2001 – Outer Limits: Flight of Fear renamed Flight of Fear. Trains modified replacing the over-the-shoulder restraints with lap bars.

Originally operated with six car trains.

Train has five cars with two rows each, seating two abreast per row.

Height requirement: Riders must be at least 54 inches tall
