Canada's only inverted, looping roller coaster. Flight Deck is designed to simulate the sensation of flying a fighter jet, with speeds reaching 50 mph (90km/h), exhilarating 90-degree vertical climbs, barrel rolls, inverted wing loopovers, a 270-degree afterburn and a complete snap roll over. Riders take flight in a fully open cockpit, suspended beneath the overhead steel track with nothing beneath their dangling feet. Unfortunately, Flight Deck delivers a rough, intolerable roller coaster ride and thus is very appropriately nicknamed "Hang 'n Bang" by coaster enthusiasts. Two notable things are the fact that this is the only Vekoma SLC designed to load at ground level. Second, the park originally wanted to build a B&M inverted coaster, but Cedar Fair had a territory exclusivity clause after building Raptor at Cedar Point and left the park with no choice but to go with Vekoma.
