Maine's only wooden roller coaster. When Excalibur opened at Funtown Splashtown U.S.A. it had been 50 years since a wooden coaster had operated in the state. Now the largest and tallest coaster in the state's history, this freeform design offers plenty of thrills, starting with a 88-foot first drop that accelerates the train to 55 miles-per-hour. Coaster enthusiasts love Excalibur for it's negative G-forces or "air-time".
