El Toro at Six Flags Great Adventure, translated The Bull in Spanish, is an "out-and-back twister" hybrid wooden coaster, offering four linear hair-raising drops (out and back design) with a beastly, twisted finale of multiple highly-banked curves (twister design). This coaster marries the smooth ride, height, speed, and exciting twisting elements of steel coasters with a classic wooden design. At opening El Toro broke records and ranked as the second tallest wood coaster in the US and fastest wood coaster in the world. This coaster also broke the world record for the steepest angle of descent on a wooden coaster – 76 degrees.
